Installing the bridge

The bridge runs in Docker, a free program that keeps it in its own box, so nothing else on your computer changes. Your chats and the link to WhatsApp are kept in a Docker volume called wa-classic-data.

DANGER

Never forward port 8097 in your router. It's the setup page and only meant for your home network. Away from home WA Classic uses port 25567, see Away from home.

The steps are different for each kind of computer, so they have their own pages:
