WA Classic runs on jailbroken iPhones and iPods touch with iOS 4.3 to 6.1. There are two packages, and Cydia picks the right one by itself.

Tested
WA Classic is tested on these devices:
- iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.4
- iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1.1
- iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.3.5
The iPhone 3GS also runs iOS 5 and 6, the iPhone 4 iOS 4.3 to 6. They use the same packages as the other devices with that iOS.
The other devices use the same packages and should work the same way. If you try one, tell us on Discord or GitHub how it went.
Notes
- iPhone 3GS: a bit slower and has less memory, so big videos take longer to load. Optimize Video in Settings helps.
- iPod touch 3rd generation with 8 GB (MC086): not supported. It's a 2nd generation inside and stops at iOS 4.2.1.
- iOS 4: some emoji don't exist yet and show as a box or a gray symbol, for example the red heart.
- Tethered jailbreak: after every restart, boot with the jailbreak tool and open WA Classic once, so notifications work again.
- iOS 7 to 10: not supported yet. A version in the flat look of WhatsApp 2.18 is coming soon.
